  • Varietal characteristics
    Toshikazu, the second owner of the garden, improved the variety to be suitable for the climate and soil of Fugenji, and it is also called “Fugenji Midori”.
    The main variety in the Dew of Shinju blend.
    Originally, the variety had a strong aroma, but after repeated breeding improvements based on feedback from customers, the variety became suitable for gyokuro.
    Currently, hand-picked Gyokuro from Kyo Midori is rare even in the national tea market.
  • Flavor
    It is characterized by a deep flavor that goes well with the covering aroma when it becomes gyokuro.
    The signature variety of the Shinjyuen blend.
